 “Waveland news” – The friends of Ethel Scott were grieved to hear of her death on Monday evening after an illness of less than 24 hours.  The funeral services were held at the Baptist Church Wednesday morning Rev. Galey officiating. Though only fifteen years of age, she had, by her kind, gentle ways, won the love and esteem of all who knew her.  - kbz

A special from Greenfield, Ind., last Tuesday says:

Ethel May, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Archelaus Scott, died on Tuesday after a brief illness,, of pneumonia. She was born in Waveland, March 1, 1884. She united with the Baptist Church, about 3 years ago. Funeral services were held in the Baptist Church on Wednesday, conducted by Rev. LF Galey. -- kbz
